Recognizing fraudulent listings

Signs of potentially fraudulent property listings:

• Unusually low or high price compared to similar properties in the area
• Incomplete, contradictory, or implausible information about the property
• Noticeably poor spelling or grammar in the listing
• Images that do not match the description or appear to be stock photos
• Unusual or missing contact details, such as unverifiable email addresses
• Requests for advance payments before a property viewing has taken place
